Motel 6-Southgate, Mi - Detroit

My room included a flat-screen TV with cable channels, climate control and a microwave. A bathtub in the bathroom was a plus.

I also appreciated the friendly staff who helped with my check-in and were attentive to my needs. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in two different rooms did not work properly. In one room, it didn't turn on at all, and in the second room, it started blowing warm air after a few hours. The cleanliness of the floors was disappointing. I noticed they were pretty dirty, and my feet became black just from walking around. The overall room condition was basic but felt neglected in terms of upkeep. I expected more since the location is nice and has potential. Would appreciate if management could address these cleanliness and maintenance issues .

I had a cozy stay where the fridge was surprisingly cold, which came in handy. The outdoor pool was a perfect spot to relax after a long drive, and I also loved the little patio outside my room. The only hiccup was the shower that took a while to warm up, but it didn’t ruin my overall experience! 😊

They didn't let me stay because of no power. Charged me anyway! Had to hunt for another place and lost 59 bucks. Not the best start to my vacation!

Honestly, the whole place seemed like a bad sitcom. Not the way you want to kick off a getaway!

The spacious rooms were clean, and the beds were more comfortable than our own. The pool area was quiet, a perfect little oasis for our family to unwind after a long day.

My wife says that a microwave in the room would really help families like ours, especially with kids needing snacks and drinks later in the evening.

This place suits me perfectly! I appreciate the free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, and laundry facilities. On my first stay, the staff helped me with heavy baggage, which I remembered fondly. I'm coming back again for a city trip!

I had such a cozy time here! The outdoor swimming pool was so refreshing. Plus, the location was super convenient for my adventures-literally minutes from fabulous food spots and attractions!

Check-in was quick and the front desk staff nice. Floors were really dirty. My feet got black walking around.

Couple avoiding a disaster

The staff was friendly. I even caught one of the attendants just sleeping in the lobby, but was at least polite when he woke up.

This place wasn't cheap. I expected better for what we paid.

The room was spacious and clean overall, way better than I expected for the price! The beds were super comfy-definitely an upgrade from home. Only downside was the area felt a bit sketchy, and the Wi-Fi was iffy. But honestly, for a budget spot, it worked out fine for a quick stay.
